52 new cases, over 400 local cases

There are 52 new cases to report today, with 73 on Saturday, 50 on Sunday and 56 yesterday. One person is in hospital with COVID at the moment.

Thank you for doing your part to slow the spread this long weekend. It was awesome to see so many people taking precautions in the community by wearing masks and keeping distance from others.

Even though we’ve changed to the Orange light, there are no changes to our visitor policy at the hospital. Thank you for your patience. Read the guidance on our website: https://www.hauoratairawhiti.org.nz/your-health/covid-2/

Anyone can collect RATs today and Thursday at the Railway Station from 10:30 and 12:30pm, and Wednesday and Friday this week at te Tini o Porou from 10am to 1pm. There are RATs at all clinics on the coast.

If you’re due for your booster today, please pop down to 295 Palmerston Road or your local health clinic.
