250 new cases, decline continues

There are 250 new cases to report today and one person is in hospital. There are 1763 active cases in our community. Even though we can’t see the sunshine whānau, be the sunshine in someone’s day today!

Please remember that if you are isolating due to COVID and need to evacuate, do it. Your safety is the number one priority. If you are isolated due to flooding and need medication for your condition, please reach out to Civil Defence on 0800 653 800.

The RAT collection centre on Grey Street has changed its operating times to 10:30-12:30 Monday to Saturday and will be closed on Sundays. Te Tini o Porou on Huxley Road is open from Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm. Thank you to all staff out there in this weather at this time.

In partnership with Turanga Health, a vaccination event will take place at Gisborne Boys’ High School this Thursday from 3:30pm to 6pm. If you or your tamariki need to get a first, second or booster dose, come along.
