Over 1000 people have beaten Omicron

Tairāwhiti, over 1000 of us have beaten Omicron!

There are 376 new cases today, with two people in hospital.

Thank you to the more than 500 households who are in isolation this week, doing their part to slow the spread and protect our vulnerable. Kia kaha whānau!

Isolating affects most people’s mental wellbeing in some way, especially when the weather is like this!  It’s important we stay connected, keep active and eat healthy kai. Having a routine for the seven days can also help.

If you need someone to talk to, you can text or call a trained counsellor any time on 1737. If you know someone in isolation, please reach out and make sure they are doing OK.

There’s no shame in being positive for COVID-19 or asking for help. It’s important we keep on reporting our positive results so we can track Omicron, but also it helps us provide you with the support that you need. Our Takatu Hub team is working hard to support whānau in need across the rohe.
